Terreaux

You’re in the center of Lyon, Place des Terreaux, where tourists and locals mingle around the Bartholdi fountain. This large public square is surrounded by the City Hall and the Museum of Fine Arts. Daniel Buren has marked some of his famous stripes, but time has done its work and the restoration of the square is a touchy matter. Dive into the small surrounding streets to find out the gems of this district, one of the densest in Europe. Strolling around, you will come across the Place Sathonay, the peaceful courtyard of the Museum of Fine Arts; Great restaurants; galleries and designer boutiques to check out. You’ll realize there is no reason to go to the square other than to use the metro.

Everybody enjoys La Bijouterie, and rightly so. 3 chefs both cook and serve a modern and precious asian cuisine. Dim sum combo at lunch, semi-grastronomic menu at night. All of them are presented in a warm and neat decor: old wooden floor, golden wallpaper and carefully chosen tableware. La Bijouterie is the french word for "Jewelry shop" and that makes sense.
