Eagle Rock

A huge boulder overlooks Eagle Rock from the north and the shadow it casts when the sun hits just right gives the neighborhood its name. The eagle, though, isn’t the only reason for its Small Town USA feel. Eagle Rock Blvd and Colorado Blvd are the only main veins where restaurants dotting along give the town its growing, and unassuming, foodie reputation - even if many of them have been around for solid decades. Since 1914, Occidental College has attracted scholars, and additionally, artists have also felt the draw. There’s a refreshingly slower pace, compared to the rest of LA, that completes the Craftsman house and Spanish bungalow setting.

Window of the Sky is a healing space for treatments in acupuncture, herbal medicine, flower essences and aroma acu-point therapy. It’s also a natural products shop for healing and ritual. Non-toxic, natural remedies like hand-picked potions, herbal tinctures and essential oils could tie you over until your next energetic healing, but it could be argued that so could the special antiques and candles. The shop will also carry vintage Mexican / Native American silver jewelry, Sophie Buhai jewelry, Persephenie skincare, Shoyeido incense, Sun Potion transformational super foods, Trillium soap and mysterious wonders from Hall of Spells.
